Wedding Wednesday: Sarah + Erik

When Sarah sent over her wedding photos, I knew I had to share them. I had the pleasure of working with Sarah and Erik last year in the design of their letterpress wedding announcements. Sarah and Erik wed in Prague last fall - aren't their photos beautiful?

New Save The Dates - Becca and Curtis

I recently finished these whimsical save the date postcards for Becca and Curtis, (available in my shop) who were a stationer's dream to work with. They had three requirements for their save the date postcards, 1- color scheme (yellow, navy & a little bit of grey), 2- Nelly Script and 3- boy+girl silhouettes. Aside from those details, Becca gave me carte blanche to work my design magic. I'm thrilled with how they came out and most importantly, they are as well. :)

2010 Holiday Cards

Now that we're fairly certain the majority of our card recipients have received them, I'm so proud to to share our 2010 holiday cards - designed to mimic an old school telegram design with a touch of whimsy. The We Heart Paper card was letterpress in a dark metallic gold ink with lyrics to sing along to Jingle Bells, masterfully written by Ryan :). Instead of opting for a photo card for our first holiday season as a married couple, we used the same design for our friends and family and printed it in a coral red and blue-ish green. I couldn't resist including a quote from one of my favorite holiday movies, Elf. :)

gracie lee + andrew

Gracie Lee is a southern belle who hails from Georgia and moved to New York City for love. Her fiancee was offered a job three years ago in the big apple and together, they decided to take a leap of faith in their relationship. After 2 years in New York and 4 years of dating, Gracie Lee and Andrew took a short trip back to Georgia for a vacation with her family. With her father's permission, Andrew took the opportunity to propose to the love of his life during a romantic hot air balloon ride. How sweet? *squeal*
Gracie Lee and Andrew wanted their wedding to be a reflection of their life as it is now, in New York. I had a ball working on their invitations - Gracie was super sweet and had so many fabulous ideas. She wanted something clean and modern for the invitation design but wanted to incorporate a hot air balloon design in some way, shape or form. Ultimately she decided it took away from her clean, modern vision. Around the same time, I serendipitously found these amazing vintage hot air balloon stamps - it was kismet and voilĂ .
Gracie Lee and Andrew are tying the knot this New Year's Eve in style and I wish them the best. Congrats!

Brooklyn Indie Market

Happy Monday! This past Saturday was my first time showing at the Brooklyn Indie Market and I just loved every minute of it. The people were so kind and we were surrounded by so many other amazing designers. We were also super lucky - the weather was simply amazing! I have to thank my super awesome husband for spending 10 hours of his Saturday to help me and keep me company. <3
I went to my very first blogger meet up on Sunday! I met some amazing really ladies, had some really great conversation and had some delicious food - I wish I took home some of Brandi's raspberry and chocolate scones. They're sooooo good!
How was your weekend?

Sonja and Binh - Wedding Invitations

I had the pleasure of printing wedding invitations for one of my dearest friends, Sonja and her, now, husband Binh. Sonja and I met 8 years ago on a study tour in Taiwan. Sonja is one of the most genuine, sweetest and kindest people I have ever met, and although, unfortunately, I was unable to attend, the wedding being 1000 miles away and 2 weekends before my own, I was thrilled to play a small part in their special day. This three color invitation is clean, chic and classy, like their beautiful wedding. You are one lucky man, Binh. ;)
