gambit + rogue

During the last weeks before the wedding, it became very apparent that I had not yet found the right cake topper. While I liked perusing Etsy for them, cake toppers weren't high on my wedding to-do list and sure, there are plenty to choose from, but some just didn't fit into our budget. I even contemplated having a topper-less cake but finally decided that a wedding cake without a cake topper was just not a wedding cake at all (to me).

Knee deep in wedding craze, I gave up and handed off the responsibility of finding our cake topper to Ryan. Ryan is (and probably always will be) a huge Marvel fan. At first he didn't want to put toys... *ahem* I mean, action figures, on our wedding cake. Although Ryan is completely unabashed in his love for collectible action figures, he was hesitant to make his hobby a center of attention to our 200 guests. We finally decided that it was a personal touch we couldn't resist and aside from the fact that it may have been a bit small for the size of our cake, we were absolutely thrilled to see Gambit and Rogue on our wedding cake.

P.S. Our Week 1 giveaway ends tonight at 11:59pm EST so hurry up and enter if you haven't already - and of course, check back tomorrow to see who the winner is! :)
