Weekend Hideaway

When I pictured owning my own business and working for myself, I romanticized it : living a life of freedom, with my legs kicked up, sipping tea, and taking breaks during the day by snuggling with the pups. DON'T GET ME WRONG - I do love it. more. than. anything. But there are weeks like this past one where I feel like I'm slowly sinking in quicksand and I just want to hide...

in a grown up fortress
perfected with twinkly lights, a magical chandelier and a fluffy bed
( + )

or slip off into a secret room with a good book
( + )

cross over a river and walk across a bridge into a tree house sanctuary
( + )

just take a break from work
( + )

and shut my door to the world
if only for a day or two
( + )

After a quiet weekend catching up with some well deserved R&R (aka, snuggling with Ryan and our pups), I'll surely be back to my usual self. Until then, happy weekend friends!

  1. Have a wonderful and relaxing weekend, Janie! I can't blame you for wanting a fort or a secret hideaway -- I've been needing one of those lately too.
