Flying Junction

Love these vintage subway signs and bus scrolls by Flying Junction. I totally want the Broadway sign for our new apartment (where ever that may be). The design is part of Flying Junctions Rollsign collection. "Rollsigns were used in New York subway cars during the early 1900's to display car locations and stops. Highly collectible, they've since been removed and sold as wall hangings for hundreds and thousands of dollars. This collection is meant to pay homage to these incredible pieces of history." -Flying Junction

About Flying Junction

A Flying Junction is a railway junction at which one ore more diverging or converging tracks in a multiple-track route cross other tracks on the route by bridge to avoid conflict with other train movements.

Our prints and canvas signs are inspired by original subway signs and bus scrolls dating back to the early 1900's. We use hand-lettering techniques to create authentic, vintage looking reproductions of the original signs and scrolls. We believe that taking the time and care in our work to come as close to the originals as possible gives the viewer a more powerful feeling of connection with the cities and times represented.

Whether you have lived in these cities, traveled to them, or merely aspire to one day our prints and canvas signs are guaranteed to rekindle fond memories and dreams alike... -Ace

  2. I definitely think we both need one of these to remember our favorite times in the city. I'm nervous about finding an apartment when I get there...
