Painted Pumpkin

coating the pumpkin with clear nail polish so that the paint wouldn't scratch off.
(I didn't have clear paint/coat/spray.)
Oh, the fumes!

Pumpkin Robot with Pet Dog (witch)

I think after this year, Ryan forbid the usage of glitter.
It gets everywhere and he is the one who needs to actually lug it
on a packed train during rush hour to work.
Needless to say, as you continue on to pictures of my entry this year,
I may have disregarded/forgotten about that rule.
:)
I didn't enter the contest last year...
tho I can't remember why.
My entry for Halloween of this year - 2010
Pumpkin Turtle riding the waves...

Meet pumpkin turtle. There is even more glitter this year, sorry hun! :) I made the head of the turtle by making a ball out of aluminum foil, covering it with a layer of clay and baking it in the oven to harden. While this is not the idea I started with (originally, I wanted to make a bewildered looking pumpkin pig with a pet alien who was eating bacon but I don't think anyone found the idea entertaining - plus, there was no way I would be able to make all that in half a day...) I'm quite proud of how it turned out, especially considering time constraints.
P.S. - I don't know why I can't ever remember that glitter is impossible to get rid of? It's like I see the sparkles, become entranced and forget!
What do you have planned for this Halloween?
