matcha matcha yum yum!
On a recent trip to Taiwan, Ryan and I went to a delicious all-you-can-eat hot pot / shabu shabu restaurant. Actually we went to many, but this specific restaurant included all-you-can-eat Häagen-Dazs ice cream. I always save some room for dessert but most of that room is usually reserved for fresh fruit, specifically watermelon. (Once, I ate so much watermelon while on a cruise that the staff withheld bringing out more… but that is a whole other story for another time.) I walk over to the ice cream and the Häagen-Dazs green tea ice cream perked my interest. Wow. It was amazing. It is by far the best green tea ice cream I have ever had. Now, I do not say that lightly. In general, I’m of fan of green tea flavored snacks and over the years, I’ve tried my fair share of green tea flavored ice cream. I ate as much ice cream I could possibly fit and still felt rather defeated. There would be no way that I would ever find it back home. Right?
Wrong! Little did I know, after doing some research on Häagen-Dazs website, green tea is a permanent flavor (distributed in Japan, China, South Korea, USA, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore). Determined to hunt down a pint, I managed to locate a nearby Stop and Shop that carried it.
Now, my freezer is fully stocked with delicious green tea ice cream and my taste buds are super happy!
