summer adventures
A little more than two months ago, Ryan and I ventured on a two week cross country adventure that ended in our new home state, Rhode Island. Ryan just graduated with his MBA from USC and was offered a position at Hasbro. A tiny part of me wishes that we had more time to explore the states that we drove through but two weeks is a long time to live out of a few suitcases with two adults and two pups crammed in an SUV for hours at a time. However, it is definitely an experience of a lifetime - something I'm not too sure I'd jump at to do again but will never forget.
Relocating in Providence, RI has been an adjustment. It's a small but beautiful city - though I miss the hustle and bustle of big cities like NYC and LA. It is also nice to be closer to our families as we're both from the east coast. If anyone has any recommendations for places to visit or restaurants to try, please drop me a line. We're looking forward to exploring our new city!

Conversation Hearts
Around the end of January every year, I find myself stockpiling conversational hearts as if there's a coming apocalypse and my life depends on it. They're ridiculously addictive but far from "good" candy. Simply put, they're so cute and having them around just makes me happy!
That's why I love all of the DIY conversation hearts floating around the interweb. Just as cute (if not cuter) and much, much tastier!

I love the idea of stamping sweet messages on iced cookies
These DIY Conversation Heart Cakes by Kelly of Studio DIY are genius!
I can't wait to try them out (though I bet my cakes won't be half as pretty).
And lastly... these are not edible but they are freaking adorable!

Happy Friday!
I still cannot believe it is already 2013 - it's crazy! I'm hoping to take the weekend to get organized (I find myself trying to organize my life daily) and perhaps finally see Les Miserables. What are your plans for the weekend?

new in the collection : linden
It's been a while since I posted any new work so, without further ado, introducing... *drumroll* The Linden collection. Hillary and Michael wanted something simple and understated but with a bit of whimsy. The invitation suite was printed on luxe pearl white 100% cotton cover in black ink. A custom liner featuring vibrant watercolor florals provided a delicious pop of color. View the rest of my collection here.

Toms for Neiman Marcus
While I was in search for a new pair of Toms (specifically the Linen Slip-On in pewter - amazingly hard to find in my size), I stumbled across the holy grail of Toms at Neiman Marcus. Neiman Marcus carries some of the original Toms on their website and in stores, they also have an entire line exclusively designed for them. They're a bit pricier but feature higher quality soles (a must have for me - I basically live in them all year round) and awesome designs/fabrics. The glitter shoes for Neiman Marcus look almost identical to the normal glitter slip-on but with a more durable (and less scratchy) material. Love!

i heart new york
Oh, New York - how I miss you!
I'm especially enamored with the New York Coffee cup. I used to see these (disposable) coffee cups served from every street corner in Manhattan but never *missed* them until we moved.

dipped in paint
Paint dipped furniture, utensils and all sorts of other things have been popping up all over the interweb like wildflowers during spring. I love how the pop of color can transform a mundane, everyday object into something eye catching and special.
Here are a few DIY links for a crafty weekend:
1) Paint dipped chopsticks - Poppytalk
2) Paint dipped furniture - House and Home
3) Miix Spoon from the MOMA store
(Okay, so this isn't a DIY tutorial - I just really loved the colors against the white fine bone china)

Summer Sandals
I can understand why people love the weather here in So Cal. 80 degrees in the middle of April? It's glorious. Warm weather means cute sandals to show off brightly polished toes. These sandals from Anthropologie fit the bill.

Wall Tape
I've been wanting to spruce up our blank, stark white walls. Temporary wallpaper is an appealing but intimidating option. Wall tape, however, is a project I would happily take on. It's such a creative way to make a space your own - with endless possibilities! And you won't have to worry about not being able to remove it. Now can someone tell me where I can get my hands on these?

Glamping
I've never been camping. The girly girl in me isn't sure I could handle being in the wilderness, sleeping in dirt or possibly becoming the dessert course for a grizzly bear. Glamping however, is another story. I love the idea of being able to explore and enjoy nature but retiring to a tree house (image 4) with a fluffy bed with down covers and other hotel-like comforts. What would you prefer? Camping or glamping?

Warby Barker + Happy Weekend!
Happy weekend, friends! This post is a bit late because we're well into April but on April Fools' Day, I received an email from Warby Parker introducing Warby Barker Canine Collection: Eyewear For Your Dog! (For a split second, I thought they were for real!) A+, Warby Parker! I thought the entire website was so adorable, especially the silly pictures and captions.
Also, if you have a minute or two, check out the FAQ page - HILARIOUS!
